    Fragile plastic
This is our fourth Electrolux Microwave. We updated from the early previously to model with the opening button on side. We went thru four of them because the plastic broke (crumbled) on each unit. We were hoping Electrolux was distressed enough with their product to correct this issue with the EI30SM55JS30. We have had this unit approximately three months and the plastic is once again creation to break. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX PRODUCT. We were trying to keep a matched set with our range because our kitchen remodel was meant around these products. WE GIVE UP AND WILL PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND.
    WHy only one top?
Ours is (was) a good shiny Stainless steel 1200 Watt top of the line Electrolux Microwave built in with fan vented to the exterior. We bought it along with a top of the line Electrolux ($1200) Dishwasher and a $2600 dual fuel Electrolux Gas/Electric assortment. We bought them from RC Willey in Orem, Utah on the advise of the salesman that we were getting the very best and top calibre of anything out there. VERY BAD ADVISE----all three of our Electolux units turned out to be junk and if their products aren't bad enough you should try their bloke service----Worse than the products-- absolutely worthless. OK---what about the Microwave? Mom raised me to always say the 'worthy' thing about anybody or anything---and I'm trying hard. The fan worked! Listen, I'm old and somewhat crippled----You aren't---Probability are that you are young and virile-----Here is what I'll tell you "You cannot run fast enough to GIVE me another Electrolux product----If you do catch me you refuge't got enough...

Oven Nightmare: KA, Thermador, Wolf, Viking, Electrolux....blah ...

We have Thermador twin energized wall ovens. They were purchased new about 11 years ago. They died after the 3rd self-unarmed recycle, while under promise. Dealing with Thermador was a torment - they refused to rely upon anything was opprobrious with the ovens. We had multiple work calls while under promise, much was replaced. Since the assurance expired we've replaced all electronics twice (cirucit boards, in screens, you name it, not to mention gaskets, entrance springs, etc). The worst savoir faire I had was when I called Thermador when, after a year, my oven stopped working, flashed a mistake encode on the open out, and beeped continually. After 20 minutes on consider with patron usefulness, I definitively got a living person. After I explained the event, gave him the failure slew, and told him I'd had to do a moonlight flit the leeway because of the untiring beeping, he told me that I must be fallacious, such a blame did not be, and the oven could not be beeping. Let's objective say  I did not rejoin well. :(

I characterize as Thermador makes famous products (we have a gas cooktop we admiration!), but our ovens were the first of a new image, and they were/are mournful. It was the self-evacuate a clean circle that ruined them. So, after Friday's pizza formal meal, during which the ovens ceased working five times (they truly go "hoot, toot, tootle, then unveil a liable add up, and kill off hook), we realized we can't give out with this anymore (they box in off 8 times during Thanksgiving).

We've been researching for a few months. I always reflection Wolf would be extraordinary. I looked at them, and was of a mind to buy them...and, well, they don't look any outstrip than the Electrolux or KitchenAid. I wasn't blown in another place.  Are they good $3000 more? Not according to Consumer Reports. And Viking? Looked attractive, but has a horrific rep for client military talents. Ugh. Electrolux looks secure, but compared to the KA they seem about the same. And KA offers steam-abet.

So. Here I am. I would with pleasure pay the $6000 for the "perfected oven." In reality, I scheduled and bugeted for it.  But, it doesn't prevail, ast least for what we prerequisite in an oven. And after our Thermador know, I am leery of of throwing lots of in money into an oven.

GE Monogram line - good choice ?

Looked at their new French entryway, double bottom freezer fridge and also wall ovens. Anybody familiar with the brand ? Trusted ? Or should I go with Electrolux or Jenn-Air ?

I have a Jenn Air and pleasure it. I looked at the Electrolux and my buddy that owns the appliance store steered me toward the Jenn Air saying it is a much better excellence unit.
