This is the thried Amana Refridgerator that I have purchased new. The first was pre 1990 the B was after 1997 and the most recent was last month. To this day all three are still up and running and have never needed any work or replacement. Just updating my kitchenette. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS ONE TO ALL
Bad Scandal
We owned an Amana refer for over 15 years until it stopped cooling in the refer and the freezer wouldn't liquefy. I checked on getting it repaired but tech said would be better off buying a new one.So ...since we had obedient luck with Amana in the past we bought the one listed here.Big mistake. The same thing that happened to our 15 year old refer hit the new one after only 2 years. Of headway it is out of warranty now so I guess we have to pay 200 or more to get it fixed or buy a new fridge every 2 years. The freezer coils get submerged with ice and the fridge is warm ....inexcusable for an appliance this new.

Mostly confines this Amana.
I have been using this fridge for a minuscule over two months now and it is so far keeping everything within it good and cold and/or frozen. Our prior fridge was a Frigidaire that was around 30 years old. It was making extraordinarily noises, ran almost constantly and had a few less cubic feet, but still worked. We have noticed that our electric bill took a off after starting to use this Amana, so it is more efficient. The two plastic drawers within the Amana look a bit flimsy. I hope they do not break as they are dear to replace. The three drawers in the Frigidaire were much more sturdily made. The bottom drawer was for meats and stayed a little colder. The Amana does not have a flat especially for meats.We had to add plumbing to the house to get water for the ice maker. Just got that done within the last few days. The ice maker is now doing its job. Every few hours we advised it dropping ice. As the instructions stated, I threw out the first several batches of...

I am not accepted to buy such an expensive appliance without seeing the interior set-up! No one seems to have the Amanas on display in the stores, and even the Amana website only shows a imperfect interior view of one of the four available models. Based on reviews and Consumer Reports, I'm musical sure I want the Amana ... I just don't think I'm asking
