Famous BIG microwave, not for the simple-minded
I bought this microwave to supplant a Panasonic that died after about 8 years.TECHNICAL DETAILS:The "TrueCook Plus" gimmick seems a hardly silly, but I've never used it. There's a website with a list of the foods that use TCP, but in the grocery store I never see the TCP symbol. If you pastry-cook all your meals from frozen dinners in the microwave, this might have some value, but as of April 2011 there just aren't that many foods using TCP.It has way too many buttons: The Astute Touch sensor, alone, has separate buttons for cooking: potato, rice, popcorn, unconventional vegetable, frozen vegetable, and frozen entree, as well as a quick touch "reheat" knob which can reheat either 1) a dinner plate, 2) soup/sauce, or 3) casserole. (WHERE'S THE REHEAT Handle FOR PIZZA????) The key is, you don't have to enter a time or power, the microwave figures it out based on the sensor. I always have to refer to the instructions to do it, but so far it has worked very well for cooking...

Two simple units
I As a matter of fact hate reviews that slam a product because the consumer happened to get a defective unit. Nothing is peerless, especially mass produced appliances. Now, having said that, I'm going to give this microwave 1 star.I bought this microwave at a regional big box store, and it was defective. There was a loud buzzing noise, and it looked as though one of the screws on the back of the microwave near the fumarole was sparking. Uh oh! That doesn't sound safe!We took the microwave back to the big box store, and they didn't have any in stock for an altercation. Well, I really liked the features of this microwave so I was willing to drive to another location to get another one. When I plugged this new unit in, the fan, light-headed and turntable powered up on it's own. I could enter a cooking time, and it would count down, but once it got to zero, the fan and light and turntable stayed on. I didn't examination if it was actually microwaving or not. I called LG to make sure I wasn't missing an...

Bent it!
We are very much enjoying our new LG microwave. It is titanic on the inside and lots of great features. Our favorite is the butter softener feature. Scram a button to either melt or soften the butter! Like I said...Love it! And we are still learning about all the fun things it can do. Also very noiseless! Highly recommended!

How is onida microwave Oven as compared to LG and Samsung made microwave ovens?

Will we dial any probelom in the future while using the onida microwave oven?
Most of the microwave oven are the same, they are divers in brand, if you use it as indicate in booklet you can use it for a long time, I use not famous trade mark microwave oven and it still in good condition after 5 years and the price is only 20 % of the distinguished brand. Good luck
