GE -- You're prevailing downhill
12 1/2 months into owning this microwave (which by the way I loved), I was maintenance it with a wet paper towel when pieces of the white interior started coming off of the top. I've never seen this betide before. Called their customer service and was told that it's actually paint and they would be happy to sell me some cover so I could paint the inside of the microwave myself. Wow, that's great customer service. I'm not sure what upset me more, telling me to buy the whoop it up or telling me to paint it myself. Microwave lasted another 9 months before the magnetron blew (it looked like a atomic bomb went off inside of the microwave...really scared us). I was assured that they would fix it but it would cost me upwards of $119 for labor, etc. Doubtlessly I'm not getting it fixed. My last GE microwave lasted me around 15 years. I wasn't expecting this one to last as long (they don't vigorous things to last anymore) but I certainly expected a lot more than 2 years.
Passion this little powerhouse
Affection this little microwave. We redid our kitchen entirely more than 2 years ago and it was tempting to upgrade to bigger this and raise that. However, somehow I resisted a larger microwave and I'm so glad. This is the perfect little powerhouse for us. Easily fits a feast plate, even a medium mixing bowl (marshmallows puff up a lot when you prepare rice crispie treats!), not to make known all the obvious small stuff -- leftovers, coffee, frozen meals, popcorn, etc. I should point out it's also super-easy to use. Express cook so press one button to cook on high for 1-6 minutes; upstanding "default" buttons for foods like reheat, popcorn and defrost (by weight or outmoded); and a kitchen timer I find invaluble for all my cooking. I'm about to buy another one for a family member so found the negative reviews. So here I am to add at least one vote of aplomb ..we have NOT had any problem with the paint, lights, covers, etc. It runs perfectly and looks great.

GE Spacemaker II
Microwave fits of laughter the spot and has worked well. Just hopped online to order another one because I was afraid to use it since the paint was peeling off the top. Review another review and see this person had the same issues. Im sure theres more people experiencing this, but it looks noxious and Im just questioning what effect it has on the foord, waves, etc. Now looking for one the same size.

How do I replace the handle on a GE microwave oven?

The cope with on my GE Microwave oven broke off. How do I replace the handle? The upper part of the handle is flexible because I just need to remove the screw on the inside door of the microwave. My tough nut to crack is how do I attach the lower part of the door handle? I do not see a screw for it on the inside entrance of the microwave? Help!
My GE microwave oven isn't putting out any exhaust during cooking.It will overheat and shutdown soon after?

My GE microwave works but during the cuisine phase It's as if it is running on low power.There is no exhaust sound being made during the cooking taper off and it soon overheats.People are telling me it might be the Exhaust Motor but I don't be versed.I would hate to purchase it and find that it is not the reason why my problem exists.
Ill bet you have a under commode mount micro dont you, everyone is right, the repair cost to put back the cooling fan for the magnetron will cost about as much as a new microwave
