Reliable at its intended purpose - at a cost
I recently purchased a new accommodation that has a DCS cooktop. While I was always tangentially aware that DCS is a "premium" brand of cooking appliances, I failed to assimilate the expense associated with acquiring, maintaining, and occasionally, repairing the appliance. By no means is this an inclusion of the appliance - I'm just saying that it's just a costly investment. My cooktop is a large 5 burner; I often waxed nostalgic about working as a "underfunded order" cook on my Saturday mornings. I fancied myself cooking omelettes, pancakes, shambles browns, French toast and other breakfast items. Whereas (I thought) a simple frying pan can and should do the stratagem, I considered dedicating some of the cooktop to a griddle surface. I first considered some "aftermarket" applications - like the Take in double griddle, but I convinced myself that I should invest in the DCS product. Nearly $150.00 (its not Prime fit) and 3 weeks later, the griddle arrived in a large, flat carton...

We're erection a new house and I'm researching professional style cooktops.

No - I have had very goood good break with my Jenn Aire.
I just upgraded the exhaust fan so it would suck out the peculiar smells better...
